Estimate review

Know what your estimate left out.

Insurance estimates are long, full of codes and easy to misread. We go through yours line by line, compare it to the damage we documented, and show you where the two don't match.

Overview

Where estimates usually come up short

Most low estimates aren't missing one big item. They're missing a lot of small ones: a few squares of roofing, the drip edge, starter strip, flashing, a code-required upgrade, a room of interior paint.

We lay the carrier's scope next to what the property actually needs and flag each difference. You get a clear list of what's missing, with the photos and measurements that support each item.

  • Line-by-line comparisonThe carrier's estimate reviewed against our inspection findings.

Signs your estimate deserves a second look

The total won't cover a contractor's bid

A gap that wide usually means items or quantities are missing.

Only part of the roof is included

Repairs to a few slopes when damage is spread across the whole roof.

Items you can see aren't listed

Damaged gutters, screens, fencing or interior areas that don't appear.

You don't understand the estimate

If you can't tell what's included, you can't tell what's missing.

Questions

About estimate review

Have a question that isn't here? Call (254) 449-2054.

Do I need an inspection for an estimate review?
A review is strongest when we've documented the damage ourselves. If you already have good documentation, we'll let you know whether it's enough to work from.
Will you negotiate with my insurance company?
We provide the comparison and documentation. How you use it is your decision. If the disagreement is only about the amount of a covered loss, appraisal may be an option, and we can explain how it works.
What if the estimate is fair?
Then we'll tell you so. A second opinion that confirms the number still saves you from wondering.

Storm roll through? Let's get eyes on it.

Tell us where the property is and where the claim stands. We'll call you within one business day to set up the inspection.
