Frequently asked questions

Answers before you call.

Straightforward answers about inspections, claims, appraisal and what to expect working with us. If yours isn't here, call or text (254) 449-2054.

Inspections

Do I need to be home during the inspection?
Not for the exterior drone flight. If interior damage needs to be documented, we'll schedule that part with you.
How long does an inspection take?
Most homes take under an hour on site. Commercial and multi-building properties take longer, and we'll give you an estimate when we schedule.
Is a drone inspection as reliable as walking the roof?
It's often more complete. Close-up images of every slope create a permanent record, and no one's weight adds damage to a fragile roof.
What if it's raining or windy?
We fly when conditions allow clear photos. If weather turns, we reschedule.

Claims

I already filed my claim. Is it too late to call you?
Usually not. Many people call after receiving an estimate that seems low. The sooner we inspect, ideally before repairs, the more we can document.
My claim was denied. Can you help?
We can document the damage and give you an honest read of what we see. A coverage denial is different from a disagreement about the amount, and we'll explain which one you're dealing with.
Who receives the report?
You do. The report is yours to share with your carrier, contractor or attorney as you choose.
Do you negotiate with my insurance company for me?
We provide inspections, documentation, estimate comparisons and appraisal services. We don't negotiate your claim on your behalf. If you need someone to do that, we can explain the options available to you.

Appraisal

What is the appraisal clause?
Most property policies include one. If you and your carrier disagree on the amount of a covered loss, either side can demand appraisal. Each side names an appraiser, the appraisers choose an umpire, and an award signed by two of the three sets the amount.
When is appraisal a good idea?
When the carrier accepts the damage is covered but the payment falls well short of repair cost, and the gap is large enough to justify the cost of the process.
Can appraisal fix a denied claim?
Generally not. Appraisal settles value disputes. Questions about whether something is covered are handled differently.

Cost & scheduling

How much does an inspection cost?
It depends on the size and type of property and the services you need. We'll quote the fee before any work begins, with no surprises.
How quickly can you come out?
We schedule as quickly as we can, and we prioritize properties with active leaks. After large storms, calling early helps.
What areas do you serve?
